EV Charging in Brighton
In Brighton city centre, there are around a dozen or so public fast charging points. Use Zap Map to locate one nearby. At the time of writing, we can see just one rapid charge point in Brighton – this is located outside the centre of town at the Withdean Stadium Leisure Centre.
Brighton & Hove City Council appears to be very supportive of electric vehicles, and has recently been awarded a grant of £300,000 from the government to build a network of more than 200 on-street EV charging points. You can request one of these by contacting the city council.
The council also offers a 50% discount on resident parking permits for low-emission vehicles. There is also free parking available at a small number of charging points, whilst you are charging your vehicle.
There is also a great community-led website all about owning and driving Electric Vehicles in Brighton: take a look at Electric Brighton.
If you are lucky enough to have your own off-street parking in Brighton, or wish to install a workplace EV charger, Earth Electrical will be only too happy to help – get in touch.
