If you plan to be charging-up on the go across London, you should consider getting an account with Source London. They are by far the biggest charging network across London, and have over 1000 charging points. These include fast chargers, and 50 kW+ rapid chargers.

Electric vehicles benefit from a special deal on the London Congestion Charge, known as the “Cleaner Vehicle Discount”. If you plan to drive within the congestion charge zone, it is definitely worth registering for this.

For a one-off annual fee (£10 at the time of writing) you can then benefit from not having to pay the congestion charge at all. Check the TFL website for more details on the Cleaner Vehicle Discount.

Some london boroughs provide very generous discounts for parking electric vehicles. For example, in Westminster, on-street parking is discounted so that you only have to pay for the first 10 minutes, it is then free up until the end of the maximum parking period.
